A Nigerian woman recently shared her experience at a point‑of‑sale terminal while she was in a hurry to get to work. She explained on her X (formerly Twitter) account that she stopped at the POS to withdraw cash.
Lady Recalls Her POS Encounter
She identified herself as @RejoiceCherechi on X and said that about an hour after she left, the POS attendant called her to ask if she had forgotten anything. When she checked her bag, she realized her ATM card was still at the terminal. She had not noticed she left it behind. She thanked the attendant for his honesty and told him she would come back later to collect the card. Reflecting on the event, she remarked, “Today reminded me that there are still honest people out there. Has something similar ever happened to you?”
