She explained that during their initial meeting she asked about his bride price. Unexpectedly, he phoned his mother, who told her the amount was two million naira. She recalled his reaction: “He said okay, then what? I thought it was a joke, but his mother confirmed the figure of ₦2 million.”
Man’s WhatsApp Message Shared Online
Later, the man contacted her on WhatsApp, revealing aspects of his personal life. In the message that sparked online chatter, he said he has two daughters who live apart from him because of his wife’s job. He advised her to block him and described their meeting as a privilege, adding, “It was an honour meeting you; I don’t want to be among men who exploit others. Whatever the case, I will accept it in good faith.”
