NDC Leader Buba Galadima Condemns Court Deregistration Ruling
Buba Galadima, a senior chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), denounced the Federal High Court’s decision in Lokoja, Kogi State, which sought to deregister the party. He called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to eradicate corrupt elements within the judiciary.
“The judiciary must send the bad eggs among them to jail to serve as a deterrent,” Galadima said. He added that the courts need deep introspection, otherwise wayward judges will damage the institution’s reputation.
He expressed confidence that the NDC will ultimately prevail, insisting that the ruling cannot withstand legal scrutiny.
Galadima Accuses APC of Suppressing Democratic Competition
The NDC figure also blamed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for being hostile to genuine political rivalry. He alleged that the party is systematically dismantling opposition groups to clear the path for President Bola Tinubu’s sole candidacy in 2027.
“The government and the APC have devastated parties such as the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Labour Party (LP), on which Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi ran in 2023,” he stated.
Galadima warned that the APC’s strategy is to ensure a single contender—Tinubu—in the next election, revealing an aversion to democratic contest.
