Man Utd’s Lisandro Martinez Return Update: Amorim Cautions Patience Ahead of Forest Clash

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed defender Lisandro Martinez will not be rushed back into action for this weekend’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest. Despite the Argentine’s eagerness to return, the manager insists on a cautious approach to his recovery process.

Martinez’s Recovery Progress

Martinez has resumed training with the squad. However, Amorim emphasized the need for patience. “He wants to play against Forest, but he won’t,” the manager stated. “We’re modifying his training exercises. His recovery must be gradual.”

Leadership Boost in Training

Amorim highlighted Martinez’s positive influence during sessions. The defender’s presence has lifted team morale significantly. “He gives us that competitive edge in every training session,” Amorim noted. “This boost is valuable for our preparations.”

Amorim Addresses Dyche’s Criticism

This weekend’s match marks Amorim’s first encounter with Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche since the latter criticized United’s tactics. Dyche previously suggested a traditional 4-4-2 formation could yield better results.

“Maybe 4-4-2 would bring more wins,” Amorim acknowledged. “But I’ve always said my system needs time. As a pundit, Dyche must make strong statements. I understand that role differs from management.”

The Portuguese coach added: “I respect Dyche’s football intelligence. He understands the game deeply. Our approaches may differ, but that’s football.”
