A man has opened up about his HIV diagnosis, explaining that years of unprotected sexual encounters preceded his positive test.
During a podcast interview, he revealed that he has been living with the virus for nine years.
He acknowledged that prior to learning his status, he regularly pursued casual sex and seldom thought about the potential health consequences.
Man Describes His Lifestyle Before Learning He Was HIV Positive
He stated, “I am HIV positive and have been living with the virus for nine years.”
He continued, “Whenever I arrived in a new state, my first impulse was to locate the nearest brothel and engage with anyone available.”
The interviewee also described his battle with compulsive sexual behaviour, noting how it infiltrated various areas of his life.
He shared, “Wherever I am, I could masturbate—even inside a place of worship.”
He added that during church services he would sometimes feel aroused and step out to use the restroom.
He further claimed that certain older congregants introduced him to a nightclub after an all‑night event when he was a teenager.
He Says Only a Few Sex Workers Insisted on Condom Use
When the podcast host asked whether any sex worker had ever refused intercourse without a condom, he answered, “Very few.”
He elaborated, “The ability of a woman to demand protection often disappears when she is compensated for intimacy.”
During the discussion he showed his antiretroviral medication and explained that he only sought testing after enduring ongoing health issues.
He said, “I experienced a range of symptoms before getting checked, including diarrhoea and fever.”
He emphasized that HIV cannot be detected by appearance, citing a married woman who tested positive during a routine exam while her husband remained unaware of her condition.
