A man has ignited online chatter after revealing that a DNA test showed he is not the biological father of a child a woman claimed was his.
In his account, he said the woman told him she was pregnant roughly two months after their intimate encounter. Initially he thought she was just sharing news, not realizing she believed he was the father.
He initially missed the implication but later understood her assumption.
He Took On Responsibility Despite Uncertainty
He explained that he decided to step up because he felt capable of caring for a child and wished to support both the mother and the infant, even though he harbored doubts about the pregnancy.
He confessed that uncertainties lingered in his mind regarding the pregnancy.
“Clear throat… so, two months after we had a thing, she sent me a text telling me she was pregnant. I was like, ‘I’m happy for you ooo,’ not knowing she was actually telling me that I was responsible for the pregnancy.”
He added that although he believed he had withdrawn before ejaculation, he considered that pre‑ejaculate fluid could have led to conception given the woman’s ovulation timing.
DNA Test Alters the Situation
He said he requested a DNA test right after the baby’s birth and obtained the outcome five days later.
Rather than share the findings straight away, he waited until the day of the child’s dedication ceremony to disclose the result to the woman’s relatives.
“Fast forward to when she gave birth, I requested a DNA test immediately. I got the results 5 days later and kept them to myself.”
“It was 2 days before the naming ceremony, so I waited until the day of the child’s dedication to reveal the result.”
He noted that family members present were disappointed when he announced the DNA test indicated he was not the child’s biological father.
He said he left the dedication shortly after making the revelation, adding that the event was not a grand ceremony.
The story has since spread widely online, sparking discussions about the value of DNA testing, trust in partnerships, and the emotional toll of paternity disagreements.
