Lamine Yamal Says Spain Have No Fear Ahead of World Cup Semi‑Final Clash With France
Spain winger Lamine Yamal has declared that La Roja will enter their 2026 FIFA World Cup semi‑final against France without any fear. His confidence follows a 2‑1 quarter‑final victory over Belgium, secured by a late goal from substitute Mikel Merino in the 88th minute at SoFi Stadium.
“We don’t fear anyone,” Yamal said after being named man of the match. He added that Spain recognises France as a world‑class side but believes they have what it takes to overcome the tournament favourites when the teams meet in Dallas.
France have been one of the most potent attacks in the competition, netting 16 goals in six games to reach the last four. Spain’s coach Luis de la Fuente echoed his player’s sentiment, stating the squad is pleased to reach the semi‑finals but is hungry for more, insisting they are capable of winning the clash.
