Kenneth Okonkwo Calls Peter Obi Classless, Accuses Him of Targeting Southeast Rising Stars

African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has launched a scathing attack on Peter Obi, the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, describing him as a classless, non‑charismatic politician with little legal knowledge and zero depth.

Speaking about Obi’s defamation lawsuit against him, Okonkwo insisted he never defamed the former Anambra governor. He argued that his comments are already in the public domain and can be verified by anyone, and urged Obi’s legal team to better educate him on the basics of defamation law.

Okonkwo went further, labeling Obi a compulsive liar who is determined to destroy every rising star from the South‑East. He echoed the remark made by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, who said Obi “lies like a fish that drinks water.”

Regarding the defamation suit, Okonkwo explained that such a legal action addresses statements already made, not future intentions. He noted that Obi had commenced legal proceedings before Okonkwo’s remarks were made, suggesting the suit was pre‑emptive rather than reactive.

He pointed out that his own statements are available on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, and criticized Obi for suing over what he claimed Okonkwo intended to say, rather than over any actual utterance.

Okonkwo also questioned why Obi has not taken similar legal action against other critics such as Omoyele Sowore or Arabambi, implying a pattern of targeting only those he perceives as threats to his political ambitions.

In conclusion, Okonkwo agreed with Keyamo’s assessment, stating that Obi displays very little legal knowledge and urged his lawyers to counsel him properly to avoid further missteps.
