Kebbi APC Chairman and Zuru LGA Leader Suspended
The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has placed its State Chairman, Abubakar Kana‑Zuru, and the party’s chairman in Zuru Local Government Area, Aliyu Abubakar Abiola, on suspension.
The decision followed an internal review of complaints lodged by stakeholders from the Zuru Emirate, which cited a lukewarm attitude toward party activities, inadequate consultation with key stakeholders, poor mobilisation efforts, and non‑compliance with APC principles and procedures.
After reviewing the allegations, the party announced that the Deputy State Chairman would assume leadership in an acting capacity while further directives are awaited.
The suspension of Aliyu Abubakar Abiola as APC chairman in Zuru LGA was also confirmed, although the party did not specify the duration of the sanctions or indicate whether disciplinary proceedings would follow.
