Jide Kosoko Responds to Ritual Allegations
Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has denied allegations linking him to the death of his late wife, describing the claims as baseless and hurtful.
He challenged those spreading the rumors to present proof, stating that accusers should be ready to face similar accusations if they cannot substantiate their stories.
Kosoko emphasized that he never harmed his wife or used her for any ritual purpose, urging critics to apply the same logic to their own spouses.
Speaking about his personal life, the actor revealed that marrying a second wife was not part of his original plan, but circumstances led him to do so, which he described as a result of “longer throat.”
He acknowledged that his current wife, Karimat (Kareemat) Kosoko, has been supportive and caring despite the unconventional path to their union.
The veteran actor recounted his marital history, noting his first wife Ganiyat Kosoko, a Nigerian Customs Service businesswoman, with whom he has children including actresses Sola and Bidemi Kosoko.
His second wife, Henrietta Kosoko, a Nollywood actress and member of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners, passed away in 2016 at age 53.
Kosoko remains married to his surviving wife, Karimat (Kareemat) Kosoko, after the loss of his earlier spouses.
