INEC Denies NDC Access Code for Nomination Portal
The Nigeria Democratic Coalition (NDC) says the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refused to provide the access code needed to upload its candidates’ names to the nomination portal.
Spokesman Osa Director told the Nigerian Tribune that the party approached INEC for the code, but officials said they would “get back” later, preventing timely submission before the court’s deregistration order.
The spokesman argued that the delay is not due to NDC’s failure but stems from INEC’s refusal to grant the credentials, and the party will return tomorrow to make another request while filing a stay of execution in court.
He added they aim to file the stay by tomorrow.
