A man has ignited intense discussion online after revealing that a married woman said her spouse had not been intimate with her for over three years, attributing the abstinence to spiritual directives from an Alfa.
The informant explained that the woman approached him for assistance with her marital difficulties. Though hesitant at first, he arranged a method for the husband to reply, allowing him to hear the husband’s perspective directly.
He noted that the woman remained courteous during their exchange, while the husband continually cited personal struggles and promised eventual improvement.
Husband cites Alfa’s guidance as reason for abstinence
In sharing part of their dialogue, the man quoted the husband as stating, “He was instructed by his Alfa that the prayer he is observing necessitates staying away from his wife.”
He added that the husband also confessed to facing financial and emotional hardships.
The challenger questioned the justification, remarking, “Are we to believe he has been praying for one, two, three, four years?”
He further expressed his astonishment, asking, “Who is raising such men in our society?”
Advisory to women triggers online debate
Using the episode as a cautionary tale, the man urged women to scrutinize the background of prospective partners, particularly if they suspect involvement with individuals claiming spiritual powers.
He advised, “If you suspect your fiancé or future husband frequents those Alfas (disguised babalawos) or sorcerers, flee immediately, even if the wedding date is set.”
