Gwarzo Denies LG Funds Diversion Allegations
The governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has challenged the Kano State Government to provide proof that he diverted local government funds through his son.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Gwarzo dismissed the allegations as false and said they are intended to damage his reputation.
The allegations are mere figments of the Governor’s imagination, lacking any basis.

He urged the accuser to present credible and verifiable evidence to substantiate the claims, emphasizing that repeated media accusations do not amount to proof.
Gwarzo reiterated his longstanding commitment to transparency and accountability in public service, describing the accusation as baseless, outrageous, and a ridiculous attempt to tarnish his hard‑earned integrity.
He expressed confidence that the truth will eventually emerge and urged the public to ignore the unfounded claims.
