Governor Makinde Warns APM Candidate Against Inheriting Political Enemies

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has advised the Allied People’s Movement (APM) gubernatorial candidate, Bimbo Adekanbi, not to inherit his political enemies should she win the 2027 election.

He urged her to chart her own leadership course, noting that he is only human and inevitably makes mistakes.

Makinde also encouraged Adekanbi to build on the accomplishments of his administration while striving to deliver improved governance for the people of Oyo State.

He said, “Don’t inherit my enemies, chart your own path. I am only human, and I make mistakes. Make sure you build on anything we have done to help our people.”

The governor highlighted his government’s development plans under the “Omituntun” framework, pointing out that Adekanbi has already experienced Omituntun 1.0 and 2.0.

He added, “Omituntun 3.0 is starting up, and I promise you that Bimbo Adekanbi will do a great job for you.”

Makinde concluded by expressing confidence that the APM candidate will perform excellently for the residents of Oyo State.
