Governor Adeleke Backs Tinubu, Urges More Time for Reforms
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has voiced his backing for President Bola Tinubu, stating that the president should be afforded additional time to continue his ongoing reforms and fulfil his national agenda.
The governor noted an informal political understanding that each geopolitical zone should have a fair opportunity to lead the country.
Adeleke argued that the current four‑year tenure may be insufficient for Tinubu to fully realise the objectives of his administration, emphasizing that the reforms need more time to take root and yield tangible results.
He also highlighted the president’s recent releases of federal allocations to state governments, stressing that it is now up to each state to manage and utilise these funds prudently, especially amid prevailing economic pressures.
“I am supporting Tinubu because he has roots in Osun State, and because it is the turn of the South. Nigerians should please give him time to implement his reforms. He has also made efforts in releasing funds to state governors to support development across the federation,” Adeleke said.
