A 28‑year‑old individual named Bismark Aduah is currently incarcerated at Winneba Local Prison in Ghana after being found guilty of theft for entering his partner’s mother’s bedroom without permission.
In an interview with Crime Check, Bismark explained that he and Rebecca had been dating for nine years and had cohabited in Ashaiman for the last two years.
Maternal Disapproval of the Romance
Bismark stated that Rebecca’s mother never endorsed their relationship and held a dislike toward him.
He added that, together with Rebecca, he went back to her mother’s dwelling to collect the gifts he had purchased for her.
Unlawful Entry Leading to Arrest
Bismark recounted that they forced the door and lock open to get inside, then moved the retrieved items to Rebecca’s father’s home.
After the break‑in, Rebecca’s mother notified the police, which resulted in the detention of both Bismark and his girlfriend.
Judicial Outcome
According to Bismark, the Afransi Court handed him a five‑month jail term and levied a fine of GH¢1,560.
He noted that he had already served two weeks behind bars but remained unable to settle the fine to obtain freedom.
Rebecca received a sentence of one month and two weeks, yet Bismark claimed he cleared her financial penalty, allowing her to walk free.
