Ganduje Rejects Peter Obi-Rabiu Kwankwaso 2027 Ticket
Former APC chairman Abdullahi Ganduje has dismissed the prospects of a reported Peter Obi‑Rabiu Kwankwaso presidential ticket under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He said such an alliance would fail to gain support in Kano State ahead of the 2027 general election and described it as “dead on arrival.”
Ganduje criticised Obi’s performance during his tenure as governor of Anambra State, asking what legacy he left and what other governance responsibilities he held that would qualify him to lead Nigeria effectively and efficiently.
He also targeted former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, noting that Kwankwaso was unable to win back‑to‑back terms, unlike Ibrahim Shekarau and Ganduje himself, who each served eight consecutive years. Ganduje argued that Kwankwaso left no legacy capable of convincing Nigerians that he could perform well as vice‑president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
