Former IGP Adamu to Announce Political Direction After APC Exit
Former Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu is expected to disclose his next political move in the coming days after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his defeat in the party’s Nasarawa State governorship primary.
A close associate, Isa, said the announcement will be made public very soon and that supporters will be fully informed when the decision is revealed.
Adamu withdrew from the APC after losing the ticket to Senator Aliyu Wadada, who had the backing of the Nasarawa State governor during the primary contest.
The loss triggered shifts within his support base, with several of his followers migrating to the Social Democratic Party.
Members of his campaign team, together with his wife and other close allies, have continued political activities across the state, insisting that his governorship ambition remains alive despite the primary setback.
The team also acknowledged that some supporters are opting for other parties, emphasizing that individuals are free to make their own political choices.
They added that Adamu will address his supporters directly in due time to clarify his plans and future direction.
