First Lady Remi Tinubu Urges Nigerian Youths to Embrace Contentment and Hard Work
First Lady Remi Tinubu addressed Nigerian youths on Friday during a meeting with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing at the State House in Abuja. She used the occasion to donate nine buses to the party’s youth leaders to aid their activities and community service.
In her remarks, the First Lady stressed the importance of diligence, patience, integrity, and hard work as foundations for success. She noted that many young people rush through life without understanding that God already knows their needs.
“God always knows our needs, and that is what the young people do not know; they are always in a hurry,” she said. She then added, “And I am teaching you how to learn contentment and not be beggarly.”
Drawing a lesson from the eagle, Mrs. Tinubu encouraged the youths to develop resilience and chart their own paths.
“You have to have the Eagle’s mentality. When the Eagle sees the storm, he laughs at it and sees how he can fly above it. That is what you should all do. You should always look for your own path and not simply copy someone else because they have it,” she explained.
She also praised the APC youth leadership for their unity and grassroots efforts, urging them to continue promoting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“As one of the arms of the ruling party, with a mandate to carry the banner of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, its members and leaders must show resilience and deep commitment to a tomorrow built on hope,” Senator Tinubu stated.
The donation of nine buses was presented to the APC National Youth Leader, Deputy National Youth Leader, zonal leaders, and the Federal Capital Territory leadership for use during party activities and community service.
