Everton have completed \the \ signing \ of \ midfielder \ Hayden \ Hackney \ from \ Middlesbrough \ in \ a \ worth at \£6m,6m, with the 24‑year‑old putting pen to paper on a five‑year contract.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth are in negotiations with Elche over the signing of striker Alvaro Rodriguez. The proposed deal is expected to start at around £18 million and could rise to £25 million through performance‑related add‑ons.
The 21‑year‑old Uruguay youth international, who is also eligible to play for Spain, would sign a five‑year contract if the clubs reach an agreement. Real Madrid are entitled to 50 percent of any transfer fee after selling Rodriguez to Elche last summer.
Bournemouth’s summer plans
The Cherries have secured a Europa League place with their best‑ever Premier League finish. New manager Marco Rose is targeting reinforcements in attack and at left‑sided centre‑back ahead of the new campaign. Brighton add Michael Svoboda
