Davido Opens Up About Family Support During His Darkest Times
Afrobeats star Davido (David Adeleke) spoke candidly in a recent Vibe Q interview about the pivotal role his family has played in helping him navigate life’s toughest challenges.
He explained that whenever he faces difficulties, his relatives are the first to reach out, offering unwavering support.
Recalling the painful period after the loss of his child, Davido said his family remained by his side until he regained emotional strength.
He added that they feel joy whenever they see him perform, because they remember how broken he felt during that ordeal.
Even when he does not initiate contact, his family routinely checks in to ensure he is doing well.
Davido summed it up: “My family has been the only one helping me through scandals & problems, my brothers & sisters and my father are always the first to call me when something bad happens; when I lost my child they stayed with me till I was fine; they’re always happy seeing me perform ’cause they know how broken I was when I lost my child; even the days I don’t call them they always call in to check up on me.”
