Charles Okocha Wins Chaos In The Ring Bout After Portable Walks Out

The 2026 Chaos In The Ring main event ended in controversy when celebrity boxer and singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, abandoned his contest against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha. The fight took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

From the opening bell, the bout started at a frantic pace. Instead of continuing to exchange punches, Portable grabbed Okocha and turned the match into a wrestling struggle, dragging the actor to the canvas.

The unexpected grappling prompted the centre‑ring referee to step in, with bouncers entering the ring to separate the two men after they wrestled on the floor. Once they were pulled apart, Portable exited the ring and left the fighting area.

After leaving, Portable returned to the arena and argued that taking Okocha to the ground constituted a victory. Officials rejected the claim, ruling that he had abandoned the bout and awarding the win to Charles Okocha.

Shortly after the referee announced the result, Portable made another protest return to the ring, but the decision had already been confirmed.

The match had been promoted as one of the headline attractions of the 2026 Chaos In The Ring event, which also featured several professional boxing bouts involving Nigerian and international fighters.

Following his victory, Okocha expressed his desire to stay active in celebrity boxing and welcomed future challenges.

“I am not planning to stop my push for more celebrity boxing bouts,” Okocha said. He added that he is ready to face any celebrity opponent, including Carter Efe, who defeated Portable by unanimous decision in a celebrity boxing match on 1 May 2026.
