Portable and Charles Okocha Set for Rematch at Chaos In The Ring 2026
Singer‑boxer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, will step back into the ring to renew his rivalry with Nollywood actor Charles Okocha. The headline bout of the Chaos In The Ring 2026 event is scheduled for Friday, July 31, at 6 p.m. in Lagos.
Portable enters the fight confident after a training camp led by coach Taiwo Esepo Agbaje. Okocha, meanwhile, insists the outcome will be decided inside the ring, not through pre‑fight trash talk.
When asked about a possible early finish, Okocha said, “If the chance appears in the first round, I’ll take it. If not, then the second round. As I’ve always said, Portable is removable.”
The actor revealed he prepared for the bout in the United Kingdom, sparring with top fighters to sharpen his skills for future challenges.
“I trained with some of the best to improve my game and gain experience for bigger fights ahead,” Okocha explained. “Honestly, I don’t even need to train specifically to beat Portable; the work was about preparing for greater challenges.”
Idowest vs Mr Real: Musical Feud Settles in the Ring
Another celebrity contest on the card will see musicians Idowest and Mr Real face off after months of public exchanges. The winners of both celebrity bouts will each receive an electric vehicle.
Professional Highlights: Antwi, Jafaru, and Adebayo
Away from the celebrity fights, British‑based Nigerian boxer Samuel Antwi returns home to meet Tanzania’s Suleiman Jafaru in one of the evening’s leading professional bouts.
Antwi said his sole focus is securing victory, while Jafaru remained measured, stating, “I’m not someone who talks too much. I respect every opponent I face. I’ve fought many good boxers throughout my career, and I have respect for Samuel as well. We’ll settle everything in the ring.”
When asked if he believes he can defeat the Nigerian, Jafaru replied, “I’m here to win. That’s all I can say. On Friday night, everyone will know what I’m capable of.”
Antwi acknowledged the challenge but maintained his focus, adding, “I respect him, but once we’re inside the ring it’s business. I never predict knockouts because anything can happen in boxing. My only goal is victory.”
The professional card also includes WBO Africa champion Basit Adebayo taking on Tanzania’s Said “Bulldog” Chino, as well as a bout between Taiwo Esepo Agbaje and South Africa’s Ayabonga Sonjika, plus several other contests featuring fighters from across the continent.
