Broda Shaggi Speaks Out After Alleged Shooting Incident
Popular skit maker and actor Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has finally addressed the public months after being hospitalized due to a reported shooting during a film production.
He revealed that he suffered a leg injury, initially receiving treatment at a hospital in Alakuko, Lagos, before being transferred to another facility in Ikeja’s Government Residential Area.
After a prolonged absence from public appearances, Shaggi took to his WhatsApp channel to share an emotional message, expressing gratitude to fans who continually checked on him.
He acknowledged that he wished he could have engaged more with his audience during that period.
The entertainer said the loyalty and encouragement he received helped him navigate what felt like a challenging phase.
Quoting his message, he wrote: “To everyone who’s still here… waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you.”
He added that supporters may not fully grasp how much their presence meant to him, especially when he couldn’t show up as he desired.
Although he refrained from detailing the incident or his recovery, Shaggi hinted that he would eventually share his experience publicly.
He stated, “I wish I could tell y’all everything right now… but I can’t. Not yet.”
He assured fans that he hasn’t forgotten them and looks forward to the day he can return fully as himself.
Shaggi also indicated that he is preparing to resume his entertainment activities after the hiatus.
“And when it does, I promise I’m coming back better, stronger, and ready to make up for all this lost time,” he added.
He concluded by thanking his followers for their patience and loyalty, writing, “Until then, please know this from the bottom of my heart. I LOOOOOOOOR Y’ALL SOOOO MUCH. Thank you for staying. Thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for still being here.”
