APC Aspirant in Adamawa Raises Concerns Over Primary Process
Abdulrahman Haske, a governorship aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, has voiced strong objections to the way the party’s primary was conducted.
In a public statement, Haske said his campaign team was denied access to the collation centre and would examine the data before deciding on any further action.
He expressed surprise that a winner was declared while his team was still awaiting the collation of votes.
“It was surprising that while we were waiting for the collation of the votes to happen, what happened to our greatest surprise was the declaration of the winner. We have our data, and we will consult and state our position over the weekend.”
Haske stressed that transparency and fairness are vital for maintaining confidence within the party.
“The integrity of the process is as important as the outcome. Transparent and inclusive procedures remain essential to sustaining trust and confidence within the party,” he added.
He appealed to his supporters across Adamawa to stay calm while he engages with party leaders and stakeholders to review the exercise and explore all legitimate avenues available.
“As responsible democrats, we are engaging widely to review the exercise and explore all legitimate avenues available to us,” Haske said.
Finally, he thanked his supporters for their loyalty during the primary and reaffirmed his continued allegiance to the APC.
