Peter Obi Pays Condolence Visit to Isaac Fayose Following Wife’s Death
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), visited businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose to express his sympathy after the death of Fayose’s wife.
During the visit, Obi offered prayers for the repose of the deceased and conveyed his sympathy to Fayose and his family.
The condolence call follows a similar gesture Obi made earlier toward former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, whose mother had passed away.
Observers noted that these visits reflect Obi’s attempt to show solidarity with political associates and public figures during times of bereavement, regardless of party affiliations.
The visit comes amid heightened attention on Fayose after his recent meeting with Seyi Tinubu, which sparked debate on social media about his political leanings.
Some critics suggested the meeting signaled a move toward the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), while others speculated about a possible defection.
Fayose responded, asserting that his interaction with the President’s son did not mean he was abandoning his political stance or endorsing the APC.
