Why Wives Should Always Serve Soup to Their Husbands: A Lighthearted Marriage Tip
A woman sparked laughter online after sharing a humorous piece of marriage advice drawn from her own observations of her husband’s eating habits.
In her viral post, she playfully cautioned wives against letting their husbands ladle out their own soup, noting that doing so often results in noticeably less broth and fewer meat pieces in the pot.
She opened with, “Ladies, allow me to offer some free marital guidance: never permit your spouse to serve himself soup. I speak from personal experience.”
She explained that whenever she cooks one of his favorite soups or dishes, she personally serves him to guarantee the meal lasts.
She added that on the rare occasions she is too exhausted and dozes off before serving him, the result is invariably the same.
“Whenever I prepare a soup or a dish he loves, I make sure I’m the one dishing it out. If I happen to fall asleep from fatigue and he serves himself, may heaven help the pot. By the time I wake, the soup level has dropped by half,” she said.
The woman joked that the meat suffers the greatest loss.
“And don’t even get me started on the meat. The chicken, beef, goat meat, assorted cuts—everything seems to vanish mysteriously. All that remains is a flavorful, nutritious broth for me to admire.”

She also noted that despite the clear evidence, her husband always claims he barely ate anything.
“The funniest part is when he confidently tells me, ‘I didn’t even eat that much.’ Sir… the proof is sitting in the empty pot.”
Wrapping up her lighthearted message, she invited other married women to share similar stories.
“Please tell me I’m not the only wife living with a professional protein hunter,” she concluded.
