A Nigerian woman has stirred online discussion after posting her brother’s WAEC grades, having previously pledged to give him fifty thousand naira for each A1 he achieved.
The seller, who operates from Port Harcourt and goes by @aliana_wears on TikTok, promised the reward prior to her sibling’s 2026 WASSCE sitting.
She had committed to paying fifty thousand naira per A1, yet his actual performance meant the total sum far exceeded her anticipation.
Brother Secures Seven Distinctions in WAEC
Following the release of the 2026 WASSCE results by WAEC on August 5, the candidate examined his scores and promptly forwarded a screenshot to his sister via WhatsApp.
His outcome revealed strong performance across nine subjects, with seven A1 grades and two B2s.
His scores were: Geography A1, Civic Education A1, English Language A1, General Mathematics A1, Biology A1, Chemistry A1, Physics B2, Livestock Farming B2, and Technical Drawing A1.
Based on her pledge, the total compensation for seven A1s comes to three hundred and fifty thousand naira.
Sister’s Reaction Upon Seeing the Grades
She turned to TikTok to express her feelings after her sibling reminded her of the promised payment.
In the clip, she showed the result slip and their WhatsApp chat, playfully complaining about how many A1s he achieved.
She exclaimed, “Why would you give him six As?” while tagging what she claimed was WAEC’s TikTok page.
Nevertheless, audience members who verified the scores noted that he had earned seven A1s, indicating the payout surpassed her original estimate.
