Works Minister Dave Umahi described President Bola Tinubu as a God‑sent leader, pointing to the ongoing road works as clear evidence that the president is healing Nigeria.
He noted that the improved route from Abakaliki onward has cut travel time, stimulated local trade and created jobs for thousands of Nigerians who would otherwise be idle.
Umahi added that the construction boom supports ancillary businesses selling garden eggs, sand, chippings, iron rods and cement — all sourced locally — and warned that without such infrastructure many youths might turn to crime.
