When a Woman Asks for Money, She’s Testing Your Marriage Intentions – Relationship Advice
A Nigerian woman has ignited online discussion after sharing her view on what it signifies when a female partner begins requesting financial assistance from her male companion.
She explains that many guys misinterpret these requests, but she believes they often indicate the woman is seriously contemplating a future together.
In a widely shared clip on X (formerly Twitter), she stated: “When a lady starts asking you for cash, she’s eyeing marriage. It’s a test. Provide the funds. If you lack them, borrow. It’s a test; she’s evaluating you.”
She emphasized that men should not instantly label such money requests as a warning sign, noting that some females use them to gauge a man’s readiness and capacity to support.
She also urged men who cannot satisfy those expectations to step aside and let someone more capable take their place.
She added, “So once she starts asking for money, she’s planning to marry you. Marry her. Give her the money. If the money isn’t there, borrow it. If you can’t borrow, move on. Let the one who can pay, pay.”
Her remarks sparked a mixed reaction online; some agreed that financial support matters in serious relationships, while others contended that true love shouldn’t be quantified by money.
The clip continues to circulate on social platforms, fueling dialogue about money, dating expectations, and contemporary relationships.
