Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has opened up about his personal life, expressing deep frustration over his current marital status.
Speed Darlington’s Personal Struggles
The artist revealed that, despite possessing American documentation, he feels unfulfilled and longs for a family, freedom and respect. At almost 60 years old, he questions whether this is how he will spend the rest of his life.
He said, “I am close to 60 with no wife or child. Is this how I am going to live my life? All I have to show is American papers. I want more than American papers out of life. I want family, freedom and respect.”
Criticism of Tinubu’s Second Term
In the same video, Speed Darlington warned that a second term for President Bola Tinubu would bring “hellfire” for Nigerians. He criticised the president’s re‑election bid, pointing to the nation’s economic challenges, rising insecurity and what he sees as policy and structural failures since Tinubu took office in 2023.
The singer added, “You are here breaking your neck to become the next President of Nigeria but you’re not qualified to be President again. From your first term, we already know that your second term is going to be hell fire.”
