Tems Explains Why She Avoids Dating Nigerian Celebrities
Grammy award‑winning singer Tems has opened up about her views on dating within the Nigerian entertainment scene, stating that she does not see herself pursuing romantic relationships with fellow celebrities.
When asked whether she would make a move on Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye if given the chance, Tems replied that she knows who he is but does not have a personal connection with him.
She added that she prefers to keep interactions with her male colleagues strictly friendly, viewing them as brothers and treating them like family, which naturally eliminates any romantic interest.
“I know who Maduka Okoye is but I don’t know him personally. I wish I did though. But shooting shots at him, we don’t do that over here,” she said. “We [Nigerian celebrities] friend each other and we are family. I see my male colleagues as brothers.”
