Owolabi Ajasa Refutes Death Rumours
Popular Nollywood actor Owolabi Ajasa, widely known for his police roles and the nickname “Ta lo pa chief,” has dismissed the circulating rumours about his demise.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Ajasa addressed his fans directly, saying he is alive, hale and hearty.
He stated, “Good day everyone, my name remains Owolabi Ajasa, your Nollywood police officer. I want to tell all my fans in Nigeria and abroad that I’m still very much alive. I’m alive and healthy. There’s nothing wrong with me. To those spreading my obituary, I return the wish to you and your family.”
Adebayo Salami Recalls Mentor’s Loss and Career Struggles
Veteran actor Adebayo Salami, popularly called Oga Bello, disclosed that he contemplated leaving acting after the death of his mentor, Ojo Ladipo, known as Baba Mero, in 1978.
Speaking during an interview with Feel Right News TV, the 73‑year‑old explained that the grief was deepened seven years later when Baba Mero’s wife also passed away.
Salami added that during this painful period, false accusations and malicious rumours blamed him for their deaths, adding to his emotional burden.
