Social commentator Geh Geh reacted to a viral video showing a man shedding tears after his romance ended, urging him to treat the breakup as a release rather than a defeat.
In the clip shared online, Geh Geh said he was startled that a man in his forties would be so devastated by a relationship with a far younger woman.
He noted that the partner is only 19 years old and wondered why the man felt heartbroken when he supposedly shouldered most of the financial responsibilities in the affair.
Geh Geh argued that, if the man’s description of the relationship is accurate, he ought to feel relieved instead of sorrowful, seeing the split as a chance to move on.
He went on to remark that in Nigeria he sees a 40‑year‑old man weeping over a breakup with a 19‑year‑old woman who lacks education, money, and whose father is poor, adding that the man should celebrate his newfound freedom instead of mourning the loss.
