A video spreading across social platforms has provoked strong reactions after a young man was allegedly taken into custody for purchasing drinks and receiving cash amounting to roughly ₦9 million at a nightclub, even though he supposedly had no money in his account.
Reports indicate that the individual allegedly ordered high‑priced beverages totaling millions of naira and accepted cash on credit, despite lacking sufficient funds to settle the bill.
The footage initially captures the young man enjoying himself inside the nightclub. He was seen dancing while holding an expensive bottle of drink, with several other drinks displayed on the table.
The clip later shifts to show the same individual in handcuffs, after accusations that he had racked up a bill of about ₦9 million in a single night.
A female voice is heard voicing frustration over the incident.
“What a foolish person. Who will pay for this? You spent ₦9 million. Are you crazy?” she remarked.
Although the precise details remain uncertain, the video continues to fuel heated discussion online, with many questioning how such a large tab was allowed to grow before anyone requested payment.

“They should discipline him properly. Next time he’ll think twice. Look at what peer pressure can cause.”

“He might have had money when he entered the club, but perhaps he started playing Aviator and tried to double his funds to spend big.”
Mobis added:
“Club and lounge owners should present the bill immediately once a patron’s tab reaches millions, especially if the guest isn’t a regular, to prevent further orders.”
