Super Falcons Begin Morocco Training Camp Ahead of 2026 WAFCON
The Super Falcons of Nigeria will start their training camp in Mohammedia, Morocco, on Wednesday, July 15, as they intensify preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The nine‑time African champions will stay in Mohammedia for one week before relocating to Rabat, where they will contest all three Group C fixtures. Head coach Justine Madugu is also expected to announce the final squad before the team departs for the tournament.
Nigeria arrive at the competition after back‑to‑back friendly victories over Senegal last month, giving the coaching staff a final chance to evaluate the squad. The Falcons are targeting a record‑extending 11th WAFCON crown and are considered among the top contenders for the trophy.
The Group C opener: Nigeria will face Malawi at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, July 28. They will meet Zambia at the same venue on Saturday, August 1, in what is anticipated to be the group’s standout match.
The side will conclude the group stage against Egypt at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, August 5. The top two teams from each group advance to the quarter‑finals as the Super Falcons look to defend their continental crown.
