Atiku Clarifies Buhari’s Role in PFIPC Allegations
The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has rejected claims that the alleged fake agency known as the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) was established during Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
In a statement released on X by his media aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku explained that what Buhari actually created in September 2019 was the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), chaired by noted economist Dr Doyin Salami.

Ibe went on to describe the PFIPC as a “manifestation of Tinubu’s ‘tiwa tiwa’ government,” accusing the current administration of incompetence.
He argued that the council’s ability to outmaneuver senior officials — including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief of Staff, Ministry of Finance, regulatory bodies, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the National Assembly under Senators Godswill Akpabio and Tajudeen Abbas, anti‑corruption agencies such as the EFCC, and security services like the Nigeria Police and DSS — proves how clueless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is.
“They should stop wasting our time and resources looking for scapegoats,” the statement read. “The buck stops on the table of #Emilokan. It is not only his turn to ‘grab, snatch, and run’ with power, it is also high time he shows accountability and lives up to his oath of office.”
