Kalu Accuses Tinubu of Forged Certificate Ahead of 2027 Poll
African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Kalu Kalu claimed on Channels Television’s Politics Today that President Bola Tinubu submitted a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the upcoming 2027 election. He urged Tinubu to disclose the primary and secondary schools he attended.
Kalu said, “Come and tell Nigerians which primary and secondary schools you attended. Even in 2022, in the INEC document he submitted, he claimed he had a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate. And the name on that certificate was Bola Adekunle Tinubu. So where did he get ‘Adekunle’ from? He claimed he graduated, but the certificate was forged.”
Sowore Highlights Discrepancies in Tinubu’s Academic Records
Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, echoed the allegations, stating that the credentials Tinubu presented to INEC differ from those he used when he ran for Lagos State governor in 1999. Sowore warned Nigerians against supporting candidates lacking verifiable academic backgrounds.
Sowore remarked, “The APC candidate only presented a paper from Chicago State University, which was different from the paper he presented in 1999.”
The controversy surrounding Tinubu’s educational qualifications continues to fuel debate as the 2027 election approaches, with opposition figures pressing for transparency and verification of his academic history.
