PDP Candidate Arrives at Polling Unit
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, arrived at Polling Unit 6, Osagburu Hall, Ward 3, Ikere-Ekiti on Saturday to take part in the election.
Among those waiting to be accredited was 86‑year‑old Madam Abiodun Ajewole, who was seen preparing to cast her ballot. Several other elderly voters were also present at Osagburu Hall as electoral officials continued the accreditation process.
Early Voter Turnout Across Ekiti
In a related development, residents of Ikogosi in Ekiti West Local Government Area turned out early at the polling unit of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
At Ward 6, Polling Unit 003, situated in front of the Oyebanji family compound in Okelele, voters checked their names on the register before voting commenced around 8:30 am. INEC officials briefed the electorate before accreditation and voting began.
One voter, identified only as Aduke, confirmed her presence on the register and said, “I have checked my name; it is on the register, and I am ready to vote. Hopefully, others will come out to do the same.”
