PDP Candidate Wins Polling Unit in Ikere
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Wole Oluyede, emerged victorious in his polling unit located at Osagburu Hall/Oke Oloti in Ikere, Ekiti State, during Saturday’s governorship election.
Results from the unit showed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) receiving two votes and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) securing a single vote.
Following the announcement, dozens of residents who had been waiting at the polling unit streamed out to celebrate the outcome with singing and dancing.
A total of 201 accredited voters were recorded at the polling unit before the vote count commenced.
At the time this report was filed, electoral officials were in the process of entering the result onto the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) official result sheet.
