Eezee Tee Exposes Dark Side of Gospel Music Industry
Nigerian gospel music producer Eezee Tee has shared his candid views on the current state of the gospel music industry.
He argues that religion is deeply intertwined with the system, often masking what truly happens behind the scenes.
According to Eezee Tee, contemporary gospel music is driven more by performance and emotions than by spiritual direction.
The businessman added that many individuals who publicly criticise the secular music scene are already aware of these issues within the gospel space.
Drawing from his experience in both gospel and secular music worlds, Eezee Tee said he has encountered situations that most people never see.
He also claimed that those who speak out against wrongdoing frequently face rejection or become targets within the industry.
He stated:
The Gospel Music Industry is darker than what you think. It is clothed in hypocrisy, lies, denials, pretence, and deep religion, so folks rarely see through it. It is more performance‑based than spirit‑led. Driven more by emotions than spirituality.
Most of the gospel folks who criticize the secular industry know this for a fact. I have been here for a while and have been privileged to engage with both industries, and trust me, you have no idea the evil that goes on in the Gospel Industry. Once you stand against evil, you’re hated and become a target. May Jesus help us.
