APC Primaries in Gombe: Tinubu Wins 450,517 Votes as Osifo Scores Zero
President Bola Tinubu recorded a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary held in Gombe State on Saturday, amassing 450,517 votes.
His sole rival, Stanley Osifo, failed to obtain a single vote across the state’s 11 local government areas.
The results were announced at APC Square by the exercise coordinator and Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya.
Governor Yahaya explained that the figures were collated by officers from each local government area and affirmed that the exercise was conducted peacefully and in accordance with APC guidelines.
He added that the state’s results would be forwarded to Abuja for final collation and official declaration by the APC national leadership.
A detailed breakdown showed Tinubu’s vote distribution: 5,873 in Akko, 23,307 in Balanga, 23,675 in Billiri, 24,964 in Dukku, 22,761 in Funakaye, and a leading 112,414 votes in Gombe Local Government Area.
Further tallies revealed 22,998 votes in Kaltungo, 25,305 in Kwami, 21,388 in Nafada, 12,765 in Shongom, and 75,067 votes from Yamaltu/Deba.
Governor Yahaya noted that the state had 550,516 registered APC members and praised party officials, delegates and members for their peaceful conduct and commitment to the democratic process.
