Fayose Predicts NDC Victory Before Noon in Free and Fair 2027 Election
Businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose expressed confidence that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) would win the 2027 presidential election if the vote is conducted freely and fairly.
He made the remarks while responding to a media aide to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, who had questioned his electoral influence in Ekiti State.
Fayose accused his rivals of relying on vote‑buying and alleged electoral manipulation, asking why they would rig elections or pay as much as ₦50,000 for votes if he had no electoral value.
He also claimed that some of his supporters were arrested shortly before the Ekiti governorship election, questioning why his “boys” were detained a week prior to the vote.
Fayose argued that political influence should not be judged by disputed results or court rulings, stating that electoral value is not based on rigging or judicial pronouncements.
He maintained that the NDC enjoys substantial voter support and would prevail if citizens were allowed to choose without interference.
Fayose further predicted that, in a transparent contest, the opposition party would secure an early victory, saying, “If they call an election today, NDC will win before 12 noon if the election is free and fair.”
He alleged that the ruling establishment’s main advantage over the opposition lies in its capacity to manipulate the electoral process, adding that the only power they have is rigging, while the people remain silent.
