Dollar to Naira Black Market Rate – July 17, 2026
The unofficial Dollar to Naira exchange rate, often referred to as the black market or parallel market (Aboki fx), stood at ₦1,425 for selling one US dollar and ₦1,412 for buying one dollar on Thursday, July 17, 2026.
These figures were reported by traders operating in the Lagos Parallel Market, according to sources from various Bureau De Change (BDC) outlets.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) continues to warn that it does not recognise the parallel market. The CBN advises individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to conduct their transactions through authorised commercial banks.
While the black market provides an alternative for those unable to access official channels, rates can fluctuate rapidly based on supply and demand dynamics.
