APC Revises Ondo State National Assembly Candidates
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a revised roster of its candidates for the upcoming National Assembly elections in Ondo State. The changes affect two senatorial seats and six federal constituencies.
The decision was communicated in a letter signed by APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda and National Secretary Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru. The letter noted that the updated list reflects the party’s final stance after considering reports from the appeal committees and securing approval from the National Working Committee (NWC).
Senatorial District Changes
In the Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire (SAN) now replaces Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the APC’s candidate.
For Ondo North, Senator Olajide Ipinsagba takes the place of Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye.
The Ondo South Senatorial District remains unchanged, with Hon. Kekemeke retaining the ticket.
House of Representatives Adjustments
Hon. Donald K. Ojogo steps in for Mr. Akingboye Leke in the Ilaje/Ese Odo Federal Constituency.
Hon. Festus Olarewaju Akingbaso replaces Hon. Rasaq Obe in Idanre/Ifedore.
Hon. Kayode Adejana is substituted by Hon. Dr. Oluwatimehin Adelegbe for Owo/Ose.
Hon. Olumuyiwa Daramola is succeeded by Hon. Okunjimi John Odimayo in Okitipupa/Irele.
Dr. Abiola Makinde loses the Ondo East/Ondo West slot to Hon. Dr. Michael Olamidotun Akintomide.
Finally, Oyerinmade Matthew is replaced by Hon. Festus Ayodele Adefiranye for the Ile Oluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo constituency.
The APC says the revised list is now final and will be used in the forthcoming elections.
