A woman has disclosed the surprising motive behind a man’s sudden silence following what she described as an ideal date, leaving many online users astonished.
She explained that the evening seemed to go smoothly, and he even escorted her home afterward. Yet, he stopped replying to her messages and never reached out again, prompting her to move forward with her life.
Despite the lack of communication, they continued to view each other’s WhatsApp status updates.
The true reason for his disappearance only came to light after she posted about a noticeable rise in body odor incidents she had observed.

Recalling the incident, she said, “Someone disappeared on me after a truly perfect date. He dropped me off, ignored my texts, and never got back in touch. I treated it as a loss and moved on. We still checked each other’s WhatsApp statuses, but that was the extent of our interaction.”
She noted that after seeing her status update, he asked how he could tactfully inform someone about an unpleasant smell. She suggested he start gently by inquiring whether the person had recently switched body creams.
The man then replied, “When we went out that night, did you change your body lotion or try a new fragrance? You smelled odd, are you sure they didn’t sell you a counterfeit?”
