The management of veteran Fuji musician Alhaji Kollington Ayinla has dismissed recent online claims that the music legend has passed away.
The statement described the rumors as fabricated by individuals seeking attention and web traffic.
According to the release, Ayinla — widely known as Kollington Ayinla Fuji Authority — is alive, in good health, and currently surrounded by family and close associates.
“Our attention has been drawn to a malicious and unfounded rumor circulating all over the internet claiming that Kollington Ayinla Fuji authority has passed away,” the statement read.
“Alhaji Kollington Ayinla is ALIVE, WELL, and IN GOOD HEALTH. Baba is currently enjoying himself, surrounded by family and close associates, and still blessing the world with his unmatched Fuji music dexterity and wisdom.”
The management condemned the spread of false death reports, calling it a wicked attempt to disrespect a living legend and cause unnecessary panic among fans, family, and associates.
It warned that the family, management, and legal team of the Fuji icon would pursue legal action against anyone found creating or circulating the false information.
“Spreading false death news is not content — it’s wickedness. The family, management, and legal team of Alhaji Kollington Ayinla will not let this slide. Anyone caught creating or spreading this falsehood will face the full wrath of the law,” the statement added.
The management urged fans and the public to disregard the rumor and rely only on official communications from the musician’s family and representatives.
