Angela Okorie Explains Why She Burned Her Burial Outfit
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has explained her decision to set on fire the outfit she wore to the burial of late actor Alexx Ekubo.
In an Instagram story post, she said her godmother advised her not to keep clothing worn to a funeral, insisting that such garments should be burned.
“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial. My Godmother said it is not good to keep the clothes you wore to a burial around you; you should burn them,” she wrote, adding that she felt compelled to share the information with family and friends.
Okorie also shared a video showing the outfit being set alight, reinforcing her message.
Earlier this year, Okorie was remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre after being charged with alleged cyber‑related offences, a matter industry observers linked to her ongoing feud with fellow actress Mercy Johnson.
The dispute intensified last year when Okorie claimed Johnson was suffering from an ailment she would not wish on her enemies.
