Pastor Funke Adejumo from Agape Christian Ministries urges married men to avoid sacrificing their own well‑being in pursuit of pleasing their wives, explaining that no man can ever fully satisfy a woman.
In her sermon, she explained that women inherently seek change and growth, citing beauty habits such as nail enhancements and wigs to illustrate why men should refrain from imposing undue pressure on themselves.
She pointed out that even the Creator, who fashioned women flawlessly, did not prevent them from continually altering their looks.
She declared, “To every married man, never destroy yourself attempting to please a woman. As a woman, I tell you that no one can completely fulfill a woman’s desires.”
Pastor Adejumo observed that women frequently modify their natural features even though they believe they are divinely perfect, using this to remind husbands that absolute perfection cannot be achieved.
While urging husbands to show love and care for their spouses, she cautioned them not to drain themselves trying to fulfill every expectation.
She added, “God provided us with natural nails, yet we trim them and apply acrylics; He gave us natural hair, yet we shave it and wear wigs. If the Divine cannot wholly satisfy us, how can any man expect to do so?”
