A Nigerian woman took to social media to recount a frustrating experience with a delivery driver, describing how the interaction left her feeling irritated.
Lady Speaks Out
She explained that, after posting on her X account @ola_sun-kanmi, the driver tasked with delivering her parcel contacted her by phone.
The driver told her he had arrived at the park and warned that he would remove her package from the area if she did not come quickly.
She rushed to the location, only to find herself caught in an unforeseen turn of events.
When she finally arrived, she described waiting for roughly two hours, growing increasingly upset. Upon his arrival, the driver merely glanced at her and remarked, ‘Would you have made it on time if I hadn’t told you I was already here?’
Public Reactions Emerge
Comments flooded in from various users.
Simply Kably remarked, ‘I actually posted something similar yesterday. People sometimes lie to speed others up; while it isn’t justified, it can be surprisingly effective.’
Mahlo stated, ‘Well, he may have spared you from a worse outcome.’
Heis wrote, ‘I don’t fault him; given his past experiences, he prefers to avoid risks.’
TShirt Boss added, ‘Two hours is a long wait. I get that drivers occasionally fib to prompt quicker arrivals, but leaving someone waiting that long is excessive.’
